Our Story

Andy had a python guitar strap he bought in the 80's. (see pic on the right) It was never very comfortable, so he decided to put it on ebay. He listed it with a starting bid of $50. I thought that was too high..after all the strap was nearly 20 years old. It sold for $240! I was shocked. Andy was pleased...and convinced there must be a market for snake skin guitar straps. I admit, I thought he had bumped his head!...But after many months of designing and developing the product, AF Designs was born. I still think we should be called AJ (Andy & Jen) Designs..because honestly, Andy just isn't all that handy with a sewing machine!..But it was his idea. Yes, honey, you were right!!!

Andy's two biggest influences were his brother, Wayne, and Randy Rhoads of course.
